The theme of heist and hijacking in cinema has been cashed in a lot in different films. These stories have their own thrill. There are many such films and web series available in the OTT space, in which stories are woven on both these genres.

Now, in the story of the film ‘Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga’ released on Netflix, both these genres have been combined, which has increased the excitement of the film.

Chor Nikal Ke Bhaaga is an interesting thriller, which does not give a chance to get bored. The twists and turns of the story keep the excitement going.

What is the story of Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga?

Neha Grover (Yami Gautam) is a flight attendant who falls in love with a passenger, Ankit Sethi (Sunny Kaushal). Both are going to become parents soon. But their happiness is shattered when Ankit gets into big trouble due to a debt. To save his life, Neha agrees to help Ankit to steal the diamonds coming to Delhi from Dubai.

When the plane reaches the air, they realize that the diamonds are not in the flight at all. Finding the carrier carrying the diamonds among so many passengers is a challenge in itself, but before the matter can reach there the plane is hijacked. Both of them face a situation which they had never imagined.As circumstances change, both of them have to change their plans.

The real thrill of the story comes from here. Due to the duration of the film being only 110 minutes, the scenes appear dynamic and the story moves at a fast pace.

How is the screenplay and acting of the actors?

Ajay Singh’s direction has kept the screenplay of Shiraz Ahmed and Amar Kaushik tight. However, after the intermission the film becomes a bit cumbersome, but by then the audience is hooked to the events and tolerates the relaxation. Some parts of the story seem exaggerated, but the way it has been taken forward through the screenplay, it covers up this shortcoming.

Yami Gautam is continuously doing thriller films in the OTT space and her acting seems to have improved in these. She has own her character in the role of a scared air hostess and a clever mind thief. Changing facial colors with changing expressions is an example of the maturity of her acting.

Sunny Kaushal is fine in the role of a businessman. His transformation into the role of a lover boy and then a conspirator suits him well. He has done justice to the character of Ankit who struggles to get the diamonds at any cost.

Sharad Kelkar in the role of Investigating Officer and Indranil Sengupta in the role of Flight Marshal have played their roles well. Sharad’s character brings an important twist in the story. Ketan Sadha’s background music has added to the excitement of the scenes.
