West Indies had given Australia 216 runs in the second innings, in response to which the host team was limited to 207 runs. Steve Smith (91*) scored the most runs for Australia in the second innings. He kept the hosts’ hopes of victory alive till the end, but no other batsman could support him.
Shamar Joseph took 7 wickets by giving away just 68 runs in 4th Innings as Australia lost by just mere 8 runs.
Steve Smith kept scoring runs and was standing tall against West Indies who were crusing to a heavy win against Australia. But unfortunately Josh Hazlewood who was at the striker’s end and was the last batsmen as Australia were 207-9 got bowled to Shamar Joseph delivery and lost the Test match for Australia.
